We have direct control over 5% of our conscious mind. However, we do not see the 95% that is our unconscious mind. It is the very thing that controls our heart rate, breathing and other processes that we do not think about. When people create change on a conscious level, the change only affects the 5% surface level, ignoring the unconscious 95% that are responsible for their behaviour.

A good example of this is lottery winners. Statistics show that within 5 years 95% of lottery winners have lost all their winnings and often are in a worse financial situation than they were before they started.

Undo old habits
